INSIGHT|WAIC 2026: Co-creating a Diverse New Ecosystem for Embodied Intelligence

On July 17, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference & High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance (WAIC) kicked off in Shanghai. Centered on the theme “Intelligent Partners, Co-create the Future”, this year’s conference featured embodied intelligence as a major highlight across exhibition zones.

Standard Robots joins hands with partners to conduct secondary development tailored to diverse segmented industrial scenarios, implement a wide range of industrial embodied intelligence solutions. Together, we explore how industrial embodied intelligence can evolve from standalone capabilities to scenario-based collaboration and deliver tangible production value.

Co-creation of Scenarios

Accelerating the Formation of Collaborative Ecosystems

 

The DARWIN Secondary Development Platform delivers standardized hardware support for diverse partners. It enables flexible adaptation of robotic arms, end effectors and corresponding capabilities according to specific task requirements, empowering partners to conduct secondary development for various industrial scenarios.

During WAIC, industrial embodied intelligence solutions built upon the DARWIN Secondary Development Platform were showcased live at partner booths.

 

Partners demonstrated live operations including collaborative loading & unloading, bin transportation, autonomous picking from racks, and bulk object sorting.


Through this joint demonstration, Standard Robots further explores how various technical capabilities can be combined and coordinated to fulfill specific industrial tasks, including:

 

・How complex processes can be converted into robot-executable tasks;

・How different types of robots operate collaboratively;

・How robotic capabilities can maintain seamless integration with existing production systems.



For Standard Robots, the value of industrial embodied intelligence lies not in the variety of motions a single robot can demonstrate, but in “how industrial embodied robots generate production value.”

When deployed in industrial scenarios, the real challenge is far more than getting a single robot to complete tasks.

 

Factories usually operate various types of robots and automated equipment simultaneously. These devices need to continuously coordinate according to production tact time, equipment status and task priorities to jointly fulfill complete production workflows.
